What better way to break a four month posting hiatus than to invite all my friends to bask in the celestial glory that is MY BIRTHDAY.
And what better way to celebrate the birth of your lord than scaling a treacherous wall in an attempt to reach the same heavenly altitude as ME, your Lord.
Therefore, deliver your tribute at the Niagara Climbing Center during a Mass Prayer on Saturday, November 11th, at 6 pm.
Tribute is $10 admittance to the Climbing Center.

Camping checklist:
1 giant tent, check
1 station wagon to hold giant tent, check
1 fire top grill for camping eats, check
1 sleeping bag, check
132 little things, like soap and a camping towel, check
more people to camping with..... searching
Hey, who wants to go camping? Nothing deep woods; state park kinda stuff. Lots of hiking to be had, but showers and bathrooms somewhere close. Thinking either Letchworth or Watkins Glen, The weekend before July 4th. This would be the 30th, 1st, 2nd and leave on the 3rd.
You must go. Your spirit guide demands it!
And if that weekend is a no-go for most people, I will gladly switch to the following weekend of the 7th, 8th, 9th.

In a couple weekends I'm going on a roadtrip (read: adventure with liz) across New York state in order to evaluate places to live. Yes, I'm leaving Fredonia after nearly 8 years and headed to beautiful Location X.
The question is, where?
I'm looking for another teaching job within 25 miles of a nice town SOMEWHERE in NY. Any suggestions?

Thanks go out to those that came to New Year's at Summer Street. Little over 20 folks, 16 of which fell asleep draped over furniture. Good times.

So between these last two posts, I....
- Got back from the Convention
- Ate a few dozen sandwiches (not all at once)
- Have been taking a bunch of grad classes that are not worth the time
- Saw Sky High twice rather than see a better movie once (though it wasn't too bad in its own right)
- Ate some more sandwiches
- Gave two presentations about nothing I give a lick about
- Made a bootleg of RFK Jr.'s inflammatory speech at Fredonia
- Had an Alumni Improv Show - with Improv Shirts!
- Had a great piece of apple pie at Hook and Ladder
- Got a Dreamcast
- Played way too much Timesplitters 2
- Left Serenity being sad it was over
- Wrote this entry
- Drank some O.J.
There's more, but I have forgotten the highlights and was left with the stuff above

So yeah, Still in Virginia/DC but have a little web access thanks to good buddy Erik. Long stories about trouble getting into the Convention Center in DC - appropriately troublesome for a town where ironically a large portion of the population is arab.

Secondly, about the camping trip next week. Since there are many different levels of camping, let me describe this one as NOT LACKING HYGIENE. There are public restrooms and showers availale on the grounds, as well as a convenience store somewhere (so the site says) for those campers in RV's that forgot toilet paper.
This is a park I had to reserve a spot for. It's not a plot of land in the middle of nowhere. So far, there is me, Liz, and Ben (for indeterminate time, because he will come around work schedule). It's fun! Come!

Here it is. School is back, good for it. Now it's on to the important things:
I have a campsite reserved in Four Mile Creek park near Niagara falls from September 1st til the 4th.
Camping, as everyone knows, is awesome. Especially with friends. ERGO, if you would like to come, I have transportation available for going out Thursday. If you can't come the whole time, but still want to go (ie - you have classes Friday you don't want to skip) then transportation can still be arranged.
As far as supplies, I have a huge tent capable of sleeping about 9 people comfortably. This is fine because I only reserved space for 4 people at the site, anyway.
Who wants in!??!?!?

So waiting around for the Apple store to open yesterday morning I was wandering around Dick's and found some much needed camping supplies. Now I urge to use them.
Who wants to go camping sometime during next week? Probably either at Letchworth or Allegheny; wherever I can get a spot. I'd like to go for at least one night.

That's what I say about our current living GARBAGE.
The quick story is that there is a lady down the street whose name shall remain "Holly" that has it in for Lowell, our precious landlord. She works for the county in some capacity, and with all the code enforcement that is going on in the area recently she thought it would be a good time to FUCK us.
Mighty surge protectors for the media behemoth, for the computer, and for our too many occupants.
Oh yeah. TOO MANY OCCUPANTS!! The house is zoned so that two unrelated people can live there. With Darrin, we have two and a half to three. Therefore, one of us has to be evicted - now Lowell has offered up another apartment on Day street as compensense, but really....
Surgeprotectors, no more fires in the back yard, less cars in the driveway, wooden railings for TWO steps, no tents, no more of those "really loud parties," no more college parties, more surge protectors plugged in to surge protectors, less towels, more can drives, less neighbors, and absolutely no talking past 6 AM.
Yeah, there will be death.
